Join Rachel and James for this three day workshop exploring the concepts of Vinyasa - Vinyasa Krama & Viniyoga.
Learn to skillfully sequence your Yoga practice exploring the concepts introduced by the legendary Krishnamacharya – linking movement to breath, individual adaptation of postures, acceptance of your current reality and the use of clear intention.
9.30am – 12 pm: The morning classes are taught by Rachel Hull and will consist of led Yoga classes incorporating a ‘theme’. Rachel’s teaching style is influenced by the Krishnamacharya tradition and is a blend of Hatha Yoga including a gentle flowing Vinyasa style linking breath to movement, as well as exploring certain postures in a more ‘still’ way.
3 – 5.30pm: James Newman leads the afternoon classes in more of a ‘workshop style’ - including sequencing an entire practice, leading into and out of chosen postures, and adaptation for individual needs. James is a student of both Srivatsa Ramaswami - who spent 30 years personally studying with Krishnamacharya, and Desikachar - Krishnamacharya’s son.
VENUE: Santra Putra, Penestanan Kaja, Ubud. This is not a residential workshop, so you are welcome to stay at accommodation of your own choosing, although it may be possible to book rooms at the venue if enough notice is given.
PRICE: RP 1 250 000 (full 3 days) – this workshop is designed to be taken in full over three days, although it is possible to attend Day One only for RP 550 000.
PRE-REQUISITES: The workshop is for all interested Yoga students and would also be valuable for Yoga teachers and teacher trainees. To gain the most from the workshop, it is suggested that you have previously attended 10 Yoga classes or more (any style).
